    The clipboard feature comes built-in with every android phone as the place where everything that you select or copy is saved temporarily. Texts, images, links, etc. are all included in this. The latest entry on the clipboard displaces the oldest one and this cycle continues. Thus there are always some entries on the clipboard.

    But, you can clear your clipboard with just a few steps.

    You can open a note app or any other app where you want to type in, to get access to the clipboard functionality.

    You might see the clipboard icon sometimes right on the menu alongside GIF, settings, and others. You can reveal the hidden icons by tapping the three dots at the right., here you will see the clipboard icon if it is not initially visible.

    Then you can either keep using it like that, or the clipboard icon could be tapped, held, and dragged to the main menu.

    You will find that the clipboard functionality is turned off, by default. You can click on the glider icon at the right and tap “Turn on Clipboard” to turn it on.

    Just after that, you will find some default items on the clipboard which are actually instructions on how you could use the clipboard functionality.

    You can copy the text by holding and dragging the ends to where you want to start and end and then tapping on “Copy”, or “Cut”, as the case could be.

    How to Paste with Clipboard

    You can find the recently copied snippets showing under the “Recent Items” tab.

    Then just tap the item and paste it on any text editor that you want be it Messages, Note, or any other social media website.

    There are two ways you can clear your clipboard.

    The First Way

    You can just open the clipboard and tap and hold the item that you want to delete and click on “delete”. But you will have to do this for every item on the list.

    The Second Way

    After opening the clipboard, just click on the pencil icon and select all the items; then click on the trash icon and all the selected items would be deleted.

    Pinning An Item To The Clipboard

    On the GBoard, every item is deleted after one hour, so to stop this from happening you have to pin the item.

    You can pin a snipped by tapping and holding the snippet of the text and clicking on the pin.

    You can pin a group of snippets by tapping on the pencil icon and selecting the items to pin, and then clicking on the pin icon.
