Even Reddit can be used to find the font. If you have an image with sample text, you could post it on subreddit /r/identifythisfont and get some assistance in identifying the font that has been used from their community.

Here you have to describe your font in the best way, Idntifont will give you a set of questions on key features of the font and you can either choose from given options or describe the font. The font would now be identified based on your answers. A font could also be searched based on different parameters including publisher/designer name and similarity in appearance to another font.

You can search and find fonts used in popular brands using Front in Logo. You just have to search for the name of the brand and the site will tell you what font has been used in its logo. You can also find all the other popular brands that use the same font.

7. Serif Font Identification Guide

The Serif Font Identification Guide, as the name suggests, helps you in identifying Serif fonts. The features of your serif font have to be described, features like the shape of serifs, crossbar, etc are described by selecting an option from those provided on the site that you think best defines the font. All the fonts that fit the visual appearance you described will then be shown to you by the tool.

8. WhatFont Tool

You can identify fonts while browsing a website using this tool. The bookmarklet has to be added to your browser. After you activate it you have to hover over text on a web page to get the font details. There are extensions for Chrome and Safari available.
