In HTML, the <sup> tag stands for Superscript tag.

  • In a Web Page,<sup> render the text with raised baseline and in a smaller size.

  • The <sup> tag is used to display inline text as a superscript text for solely typographical reasons.

  • Exponents and powers of numbers are the most commonly used of Superscript text.

  • Also, this is an Inline Element.
