CS Full Form

There are two popular full forms of CS. One is Computer Science and the other is Company Secretary. Here, we will see the purpose of both.

1. Computer Science

Computer Science is a branch of education concerned with analyzing information technologies, computers, and computing structures that include both computer hardware and computer software. The software is operated by a computer scientist in this field.

Computer SCience

Being a field of science related to information technology, the individual studies in CS are computer systems and security systems, computer networks, database systems, programming languages, numerical analysis, computer theory, software engineering, and computer intelligence.

2. Company Secretary

The other full form of CS is Company Secretary. In the organization of the public and private sectors, CS ranks very high. In the private sector, it is one of the high-paying jobs with big public bodies. The Company Secretaries are responsible for sensitive business services and report the success and difficulties encountered by the members of the board.

The company secretary position, founded in 1980, under Parliament’s Act, is regulated by the Indian Institute of Company Secretaries in India. The high standard of study module is ensured by the institute and management is given by its representatives. It also helps the graduates get jobs in high-profile governments and private companies. These are some of the responsibilities of a CS.

  • CS is also accountable for overseeing accounts, finance department, administrative, legal and personnel operations in addition to his secretarial duties.
  • The duties of the CS begin right from the announcement when anticipating the idea of starting a company. That being said, a CS's definite role differs from company to company.
  • The duties of a large or medium-sized corporation involve the handling of applicants for managerial roles, amalgamation, and public concerns including the valuation of shares & debentures, salaries, and inter-corporate investments & loans.

How to become CS?

Individuals will become CS on completion of the CS course. Students can pursue this course after passing 12th grade, or after graduation. These students must go through these three stages:

  • Foundation Programme
  • Executive Programme
  • Professional Programme

If the student wishes to be CS after graduation, he/she has to follow the following two stages only:

  • Executive Programme
  • Professional Programme.
