PDF Advantages

  • Graphic Integrity

No matter which operating system, device or software application it is viewed on, a PDF displays the exact same content and layout.

  • Multi-Dimensional

Various types of content - text, images and vector graphics, audio files, videos, animations3D models, interactive fields, hyperlinks, and buttons can be integrated using the PDF format. These elements can be combined in the same pdf and can be presented as a report.

  • Convenient

PDFs are easy to read, create, and use by everyone.

  • Secure

Different levels of access to protect the content and the whole document, such as watermarks, passwords or digital signatures can be set up on the PDF.

  • Compact

The PDF can be compressed into a file size that is easy for exchanging even though it can theoretically contain an unlimited amount of information

PDF Limitations

  • Developed as an exchange format for documents, the main goal of PDF was to preserve and protect the content and layout of a document - no matter what platform or computer program it is viewed on.

  • When it comes to working with them not all PDFs are alike. Different ways of working are required with the different types of PDFs, for instance when searching or extracting information.
